Polyvore Outfit of the Week: The LBD Three Ways

Everyone has a LBD in their wardrobe. But have you ever thought that you could wear it more than one way? Not only this saves you money but can give you the option to wear your favorite dress multiple times. Just make sure that the dress hits above the knee so it will be appropriate for all occasions. For work, I love pairing it with a bright colored blazer for summer. For the weekend wear it with a fun colored scarf or earrings and flats. For the night pair with gold jewelry to make a statement. Outfit of the Day Post: Mustard Maxi Skirt

Maxi skirts are so nice to wear in the summer time because they are so breezy and lightweight. You can also dress them up and dress them down, making it the perfect skirt! I am loving the color of this skirt. It is a more fall color but it would also be perfect for summer. I received this skirt from Sheinside.com. It is a very comfy skirt and it comes in one size and it fits perfectly! I would say that it wouldn't fit a person larger than a size 12. I am also 5'8" and it hit me right above the ankle so if you are petite you may need to get it hemmed. I chose to pair it with sandals to make the outfit a little more causal.

Wedding Hairstyles for the Bridal Party/Guests

These hairstyles are perfect for the bridesmaids and Matron of Honor. They are soft and romantic and perfect for any wedding (informal/formal).

A softer updo that will not compete with the bride's hairdo if she is also doing an updo. Its more softer and I love that the hair frames around the face- very flattering!

For the bridesmaids that have short hair - this one is for you! Wear a headband, a flower in the hair - a hair accessory will be your go to piece.

Flower girls should also have their hair done fancy. I always say with little kids stick with simple, fun hairstyles. I hated wearing updo's when I was little- It hurt my head. This one is adorable and suitable for any  little girl!

This weeks fashion around the world series is on France. I have been waiting to do France for a long time and I am sure all of you have been patiently waiting! I made sure that all the fashion featured is worn by people that live in France or are French designers. Paris fashion week is amazing but sometimes features non-french designers. I want to make this series authentic now don't I?! And of course I could not leave out Chanel. If you haven't checked out Chanel's spring 2012 collection, you must! It is a gorgeous collection. France also has some great street fashion. One of the best in my opinion. There is always people with impeccable fashion. I mean Paris is one of the biggest fashion cities in the world! The only thing that was hard to find was Southern France fashion. Sometimes it is nice to compare how people in the north dress compared to the people in the south.

P.S. Random Fact about me: I took 4 years of French in High School but all I now remember is Bonjour and Je Suis Heidi...haha.

This week's celebrity fashion edition is on Angelina Jolie. I love Angelina's classic outfit here. This outfit would work for so many occasions. Wear this to work and after hours. You can't see what type of shoes she is wearing so I would wear a pair of black heels or red to kick it up a notch. Angelina isn't wearing too much jewelry either, I would wear some statement rings or a bangle. Earrings would be another option.

I have always admired Scarlett Johansson. She is simply gorgeous. Plus I always look to her for fashion advice as we have a similar body shape. I love the photo shoot she did here for Vogue. Very elegant and timeless. Very old Hollywood and it suits her well.

Polyvore Outfit of the Week: The Colored Jean Trend

Colored jeans are all the rage this spring. There are cobalt blue to neon yellow jeans to choose from. If you are curvy like me, you can choose darker colored jeans or you can go for a skinny jean like the one above. Also, look for jean material (often a little more expensive) and not the jean material that stretches (lower end brand/prices). This will ensure a good fit. 

Envelope clutches (and smaller ladylike handbags) are also slowly replacing the huge handbags that we have seen in the past. I personally think they are ok if you are on a run. But for shopping and other such activities it's kind of useless. I choose a black clutch in the outfit above to add some depth and interest in the outfit.
