Outfit of the Day: Halloween!

Outfit Details:
Blouse: Forever21
Skirt: Old Navy
Boots: MIA- from DSW
Bracelets: Forever21

I usually don't dress up for Halloween unless I am going to a party. I am not a party person and usually stick around at home watching scary movies and giving out candy to the kids. I thought that this outfit is a little "Halloween" with the orange and black. I am also wearing my new ankle boots here that I absolutely love. I wanted them from the moment I saw them online and instantly bought them. When they arrived in the mail- I instantly feel in love with them! They are comfy despite the heel height and go with just about anything. This blouse is a purchase I made at Forever21 in San Francisco. It just screams fall and I love how flowy it is!

What did you all do for Halloween and did you dress up?

Yardley of London Hamper Review

I received Yardley of London Hamper for review purposes. Since its Hot as Hell in mumbai - I use up deodorants in a jiffy..

I am a huge fan of fragrances - Be it Deodorants or perfumes. So reviewing this hamper is going to be fun !!

So Here is the hamper which I will be reviewing today ----

My Experience with the Products:

Yardley of London is such a old brand -- I remember my mom using its talc - Thus the products bring back a fond memory.

Product : Yardley Of London Deodorant - English Lavender
Price: 150 INR  for 150 ml

I absolutely loved the deodorant - The smell of which is floral lavender which is intense and lingers on the whole day.

The fragrance of the deodorant is not over empowering which is good.

The top notes are floral which then settle down to kind of a sweet fragrance.

The deodorant was skin friendly - did not give me any skin irritation at all.

The product is economically priced for the quantity it provides.

I can't find anything wrong with this product-  love this deodorant - I wear it everyday  :)

Product :Yardley Of London Soap -  English Lavender:
Price: 40 INR for 100 gms

This soap comes in a cardboard box packaging and inside the soap is packed in a paper which has the same print as the outer box packing.

The soap is light purple - lavender colour.

The smell of the soap is same as that of lavender deodorant. It is floral and tends to linger on for hours after you use it.

The soap is very skin- friendly. It doesn't dry out your skin and do not cause any skin irritation.

It leaves your skin moisturised after you use it.

The soap is decently priced and lasts you for a long time. It does not melt easily.

I absolutely love using this soap and layering lavender deodorant - so as to lock its floral fragrance which stays with you the whole day.

Have you used these products yet ?? I have a Contest Running where you can win the same YARDLEY OF LONDON HAMPERS... ENTER THE GIVEAWAY HERE

Please note: The hamper was sent by the company's PR for consideration.

Polyvore Outfit of the Week- Chic at the Office

Chic at the Office

I always find it hard at times on how to be trendy at the office. It is unprofessional to wear some of those trendy pieces that you often see. It is very easy to be trendy at the office if you put specific trends into your work wardrobe. For example, red is hot this season. Why not wear an awesome pair of red trousers? I have been on the hunt for that perfect red trouser and this pair just makes me swoon! Pop the outfit with a colorful bag in a top satchel shape, which is one of the "it" bags of the season. Love the color of the bag featured! Don't be afraid to wear some trendy jewelry but keep it minimal. For example, a watch and a ring. Or a statement necklace and a simple bracelet or ring.
To take this look into the evening bring a sequined top with you to work! Simple and easy.

How do you keep it trendy and chic at the office?

Marina Jamieson for Marie Claire UK November 2011

I am loving this shoot from Marie Claire UK. The style is very 40's and oh so glamorous. The prints, colors, and styles are so gorgeous! The last dress featured would work wonderfully for a holiday party. The first and fifth dress would be the perfect dresses for work. All the shoes featured are amazing! I wouldn't mind having all of the pairs featured. :)

What do you think of the editorial? Do you like the 40's trend this season?
