My Experience with the Product:

The mist has really great as it has helped me in the heat of the summers to keep my skin hydrated and fresh.

Close your eyes and spray this mist directly on your face while holding the bottle four to five inches away from your face. I let the mist to sit on my face and allow it to air dry.

Only one spray of the mist is enough to refresh me with its calming smell of roses and hydrate my skin.

I have also used this mist to set my makeup - The mist acts like a finishing spray to set my makeup. It does a good job.

The mist also seals in moisture into the skin and keeps the skin moisturized.

I also experimented by mixing this mist along with my face-pack and I quite liked the results it gave - A subtle nice glowy skin.

The mist is perfect as it is very light, doesn't cause any irritation and most importantly it is not at all greasy.

 I use this mist the instant I step inside the house after facing the heat to instantly cool off my skin.

This facial mist is great skin care aid and a product mixer. Below are some of ways you can use face mist sprays --

• Use it on your face before applying moisturizer to seal in hydration. 
• Use it as a facial mask - (Just like the one I reviewed recently - Neutrogena's Deep Whitening Mask) Apply the mist generously on facial cotton pads and let it sit on your face for 15 mins. 
• Use it to set your makeup. 
• Use it as a mixer for your face packs.

Happy Skin: Pond's White Beauty Daily Spotless Lightening Day Cream

I usually don't go shopping for moisturizers for my face ... Never ! I have oily skin as it is and Hence I refrain applying anything on my face except for sunscreen and compact. So when I was offered to test out Pond's Newest product from their whitening skincare line - I was not sure whether this will work for me or not.

I have never been into the "whitening" and "brightening" mumbo-jumbo. I started using this cream anyway and its been 4 weeks now since I am using it -- 

Here's my account on the product -

Product: Pond's Flawless White Visible Lightening Day Cream. 

Claims:

Pond’s Flawless White Visible Lightening Day Cream “visibly whiten skin, giving it a natural, flawlessly radiant look; VAO-B³ complex fade away dark spots and blemishes; moisturizes, for soft and smooth skin; protect against the sun’s UVA/UVB rays”.

First Look at the Product: 

This product comes in a luxurious glass tub packaging with a pink screw cap top. Apart from the "Pretty" packaging - The heavy tub is not at all travel friendly. The product is bulky and you always have to take care that you don't end up breaking the glass tub while handling. 

My Experience with the Product: 

The first thing I noticed when I applied this cream was that this cream smelled and reminded me of a cream which was available a long time ago  (dunno whether its still available or not) - The Afghan Snow Cream. My mom was crazy for that thing .... this cream instantly brought back the memories of sweet smell of that cream.

I love the texture of the cream - it has a mousse- like consistency and it Literally takes seconds for this cream to get absorbed into my skin. You need only minute quantity of the product for your entire face. The cream somehow adapts to your skin and brings out the best results.

The product has a wonderful smell and makes you feel like your using a spa product. 

I love the effect the cream has on my face - It instantly give my skin - Clean, Radiant and  Matte Look. The application of cream followed by compact is very successful in maintaining oil free look for hours. It also makes the pores on the skin appear smaller.

As for whitening effect - I am sad to say - I haven't noticed any difference in my dark spots or lightening in my skin tone. The cream gives you radiant look the moment you apply it but then its back to normal after sometime. 

I like the fact that this cream is successful in giving you that BARE FEELING - As if your not wearing anything on your face.

The cream also gets bonus points for not giving me any break- outs or allergy reactions. 

I have tried this cream as a base for my makeup. My protocol starts by applying the cream, followed by hiding the blemishes with the help of a concealer, followed by applying mineral foundation and lastly loose powder. The makeup surprisingly stays put for hours. 

All in all, I am quite happy with the results the product is delivering. 

Love it or Chuck it? 

LOVE IT !! I will recommend this product to everyone with oily/ combination skin tone.

Another BB Cream in the market !! : Vedic Line Plus BB Cream

When MNY BB Cream stormed our blogosphere - It was an instant HIT !! Now that Indian Company - Vedic Line launched their new range of products - Vedic Line Plus which includes BB Cream as one of its products - I HAD TO TEST IT OUT !!!!

Product: Vedic Line Plus BB Cream.

Claims:

This blemish balm cream serves as a foundation for application of make up and protects the skin from UV rays for upto 12 hours. Does not come off easily by sweat or sebum and leaves the skin spotless and wrinkle free.

Usage: 

  

Use it daily, directly or after absorption of Moisturizer, Serum or Essence. For imperfect areas apply extra layer of BB cream.

First Look At the Product: 

The BB Cream comes in a tube packaging - Fuschia color tube with a screw cap - I wish a flip cap opening would have been much easier to deal with . Other than that It’s a travel friendly tube. The consistency of the cream is neither too thick nor too thin with somewhat floral aroma. 

My Experience with the Product: 

The first time I applied the cream - I took too much and it made me look tanned !! The cream has pink undertones which makes my skin look weird if I apply too much of it. 

The texture of the cream is just right - It makes it very easy for application on the face. The next time I applied the BB Cream - I was extra careful and took a teeny pea sized amount of the product and dabbed it onto my entire face. 

The result was a radiant dewy look. I have combination skin type and it manages to stay on my skin for 2-3 hours easily after which it makes my T-Zone look oily.

Right now, This BB Cream comes in one shade only - but its fine as the shade is mostly perfect for Indian skin tones. 

I guess people with oily skinned wont like this BB Cream too much - It will work best for people with dry to combination skin types. 

It does not help in concealing your imperfections at all. It doesnt help in lightening or concealing my dark circles as well. 

This cream does not help much in summers for oily skinned. My T-Zone is very troublesome !! I tried touching it up with matte powder - didnt help ! 

Otherwise, This BB Cream is perfect for people who are blessed with dry skin with less imperfections... Do try it !!!

Rosy Skin With Vedic Line Papaya Scrub

My beautician has always lectured me on using papaya on daily basis - I have oily skin which is acne prone and she swears by benefits of the fruit. I had only tried it twice and thrice - Didn't have the patience to stick to the routine.

Anyways, So when I got a chance to test drive this product - I gladly used it on daily basis to see how it worked...

Usage Directions: Gently massage for 2 to 3 minutes on wet skin.

Ingredient List: Purified water, Clay blend, Almond oil, Palm wax, Papaya extract, Aloevera, Walnut, Sodium Benzoate & Phenoxyethanol.

Keeps skin amazingly clear. Made from Papaya most nutritious fruit, supposed to be melting and removing extra melanin. Natural Papaya acids may cause tingling for a few moments. "Do not over scrub, it increases skin's sensitivity"

First Look at the Product:

 The scrub comes in a tub-like packaging which is good as the scrub is quite thicker in the consistency. The screw cap lid opens up to reveal another lid inside which helps in preventing the spillage of product.

My Experience with the Product:

The scrub is muddy because it has clay in it - A bit thick in consistency - Not a problem because it works well onto the skin. 

The fragrance is quite nice - not at all bothersome. 

The walnut granules in the scrub are bit harsh - So please do not go overboard with this scrub. 

I use it scrub every two days and I quite like the effect it has on my skin. 

The scrub exfoliates very well and is successful in removing tan too. 

Sometimes I apply this scrub and take a steam to open up my pores - This is followed by scrubbing for about a minute or two and then wash it off with plenty of water. 

This routine works wonders - It makes my skin clean, soft and radiant.

 Love it Or Chuck it ? 
Definitely LOVE IT !! I will recommend this scrub to everyone who are bored of using routine apricot scrubs.

First Look at the Product:

My Experience: 

The mask is perfect for this season - The serum is some kind of brightening one - It helped me to remove tan from my face.

I loved the effect the mask left on my face - I did notice a nice, glow,faint translucent look - Just after the first use !! 

The soaked sheet is so hydrating - It intensely nourishes your dull and tired skin. 

There's a lot of serum left on your skin even after your done keeping the mask for 15 minutes... Do not wash your face .. just let it sit on your skin .. I would recommend keeping the serum overnight on your face. It definitely shows good results. 

This mask is definitely a treat !!  It is a perfect Do-It- Yourself facial session at home without any labour or hassles.
