Oriflame Blackhead Astringent

Oriflame has a great range of products which can be used by everyone including the men. The different products are specifically designed for all the different skin types making Oriflame a popular choice among everyone.

I had got Oriflame's Blackhead astringent some time back when my skin was troubled with lots of acne and comedones. Although I don't suffer from blackheads - I thought of giving this product a try to see if works on my comedones or  not.

Hence after using this astringent for quite sometime ...Here's my take on the product.


Product: Oriflame Pure Skin Blackhead Astringent.
Price & Quantity: 398 INR Rupees for 150ml

Claims: A powerful wipe-on astringent, effective in tackling blackheads. With salicylic acid to cleanse pores. Sweep over face to remove excess oil and get rid of dead skin cells.

My views on the product:
This product comes in a big blue bottle with screw cap top.
I use to apply a bit of the astringent after washing my face and it instantly calms your skin and helps in controlling the redness of skin due to acne.
The product effectively removes away the dirt that the cleanser was not able to wash away from your skin.
I can't really comment on the blackhead removal but yeah it was successful in preventing formation of new comedones on my skin.
It did nothing to the existing comedones on my skin.
All in All - It is a very effective product for us oilies out there.

I discovered Miss Selfridge about a year ago and ever since then I have loved their clothing. It is trendy, unique and chic. They also have great prices but the only downside is that it costs $10 to ship to the US. Though they just introduced that if you spend over 60 British Pounds (which is about $98 or $100) you can get free shipping :)
I am loving the 30s, 40s and 70s influences in the outfits. My favorites are the 2nd, 3rd, 6th and 9th outfits.

My Take on the Product: 
 
I am quite fascinated with the bottle which is very unique and is a twist cap. The product advises to use generous amount to apply on the face, but I use a small amount and it covers my face.

The tonic comes in a number of sizes from 30ml spritz to 200ml bottle.

It can be spritzed over makeup to set the makeup or after cleansing, which is what I use. I also mix it with my face pack sometimes which works great.

It has a refreshing scent and is a cool liquid. The smell is so invigorating -  it instantly refreshes your skin and hydrates it.

I really do think its worth investing in as it adds to enhancing the performance of the cleanser.

I know August's edition came out awhile ago but I just had to share this cute but stylish editorial! Sarah Jessica Parker is one of those actresses that always looks beautiful and ages gracefully. I love how stylish she looks among all the madness with the children playing and with the toys all over the place. It reminds moms that you still can look stylish when you have children! The house in the pictures are just exquisite. I love the decor and I dream having a big house like that one day (I think we all do)! Her dress in the first photo is so gorgeous. Reminds me of something you would wear to the Opera or some glamorous event.
Out of all the editorials this month, this had to be one of the most creative and fun ones. Sarah Jessica Parker did a wonderful job modeling in these. She looks gorgeous at the age of 46 and amazing for having 3 children. I hope I look this good at 46! haha
