Emmy Awards: Favorites and Not So Favorites

Favorites:

Aubrey Plaza

This is such an elegant gown. The ruffle detailing at the neck is not over the top and it frames her body well.

Christina Hendricks

Va-Va Voom. She is simply gorgeous here and pulls off any gown so well.

Cobie Smulders

I am loving the blue color here, very summery even though we are reaching into fall. The shape of the dress too is forgiving and very flattering.

Emily Blunt

A stunning dress she has on here. I am loving the lace and tulle detailing.

Gwyneth Paltrow

I am not too fond of the midriff showing but I do like the pattern in the dress. Very versace.

Kate Winslet

Kate Winslet is one of my favorite actresses and this dress is just simply gorgeous on her. She looks gorgeous in red and the shape is lovely.

Lea Michele

The shoulders are not my style but the color looks fabulous on her.

Nina Dobrev

Another red dress on the red carpet! Red was definitely a color seen on the carpet this season. This one suits her so well, I love the detailing at the hem.

Dislikes:

Melissa McCarthy

What was she thinking? This boxy dress makes her look bigger than she really is, not flattering at all.

Kristen Wiig

Ombre might be cool but not here in this case. This color of the brown just drains her coloring and makes her look older. Also the cut is unflattering on her shape.

Heidi Klum

I adore Heidi but sometimes I don't understand her fashion choices. To me she looks like she is wearing a big cupcake...haha. I do love her shoes however!

The Emmy's was on TV last night and everyone stepped out on the red carpet shining in their gowns. There were good and bad ones. As I have discussed above. Kate Winslet won the leading actress in the miniseries, Mildred Pierce. I have yet to see it but it is on my list to watch. I also noticed Downtown Abby won three awards. I watched the 1st episode and it was quite good but I never got around to watching the rest of it! I was glad to see Game of Thrones win too, that is another show on my To Watch list. Any show that has a medieval theme in it has me hooked instantly.

Did you watch the Emmy's? What are your favorite TV shows?

Always,
